Have you ever woken up and felt like “Why am I here?” or you felt as if you wanted to say, “Screw Everything, I’m done!”
For me, this can be an everyday occurrence. It’s almost every day I have to fight my constant thoughts to give up on my writings, my dreams, goals, or just to get through my day. For some reason it feels like every day can be more than what I can handle.
But let’s be realistic, these are all just feelings. Some areas in our lives we’re going to be in uncomfortable situations, we’re going to feel like everything is against us, and we’re going to think no one cares about us enough to lend a helping hand. For me I have to start my day off right which consist of praying in the morning, reading my bible, and meditating on the word. I have to prepare myself for the day because the weight of my situation is very overwhelming and if I’m not careful I could get caught up in the negative aspects and situations of being incarcerated.
Learning to take my time, never over think anything, and also assess situations accordingly. You can never go wrong with a clear mind. Remember when times become hard and overbearing, know that you can get through anything. Just continue to press through.
