book, wisdom, literature-6565603.jpgThere are certain things that human beings should never experience However, when they do it is intended for those encounters to be categorized under the coined phrase “Life Learned Lessons.” As an incarcerated individual, I’ve come to the conclusion that there are a number of lessons I’ve ignored or took for granted in everyday life.

Needless to say it took Prison to open my eyes. Hopefully after reading this it opens yours too.

* Being a better person than you were the day before is critical, not knowing what the next day will bring. What this entails is thinking before speaking and/or reacting. This is an essential quality because there are consequences to every action or reaction.

* Not allowing anything or anyone steal your joy is imperative, being that the energy you give off is the same as you will attract. Living an angry or bitter life always leads to the wrong path, resulting in a difficult journey.

* Acknowledging that you are perfectly imperfect as you are, enables your thoughts to remain pure. There is no need to impress when you know your self-worth. When one possesses this quality their steps are not ordered, rather defined by their life aspirations.

* Forgiving the misdeeds that others have placed upon you. Not letting go will unconsciously have a domino effect on everything that occurs in your life. Furthermore, harboring ill feelings towards anything will stunt the growth of other lessons imbedded within.

* The characteristic of being self-less opens the doors to the world. Blessings upon blessings. However, the key is to understand that the fruits of this gift comes not on your own time, but when least expected.

* And finally Family… the ultimate goal is to remain close knit. The fact is that family is the foundation of life. In any event, there are many instances when family hurts you the most. And while there is no way to undo family, the quintessential thing to know is that there is a difference between family and being a relative. What’s most precious is that they will always be there. These realizations have been extremely profound throughout this journey in my life.

Therefore, the message I tended through the words above is not only to share the Life Learned Lessons from within, but to supply forethought and the option of sidestepping the trap before it’s sprung!

* The beliefs, opinions, values, and perspectives expressed/shared by our guests, interviewee’s, and guest blogger’s are indeed their own and not that of PrisonBaes LLC, their affiliates, and employees
